Global health faces a dual burden of infectious diseases and non-communicable diseases. Pharmaceutical innovation plays a vital role in addressing these challenges through drug discovery, development of novel therapies like gene editing and immunotherapy, and improving access to medicines. However, challenges such as high costs, regulatory hurdles, and equitable access need to be overcome through collaboration and innovative approaches.
